The Stimming starts...

Today is day 2 of starting the stimulation injections. I stopped taking the birth control on Friday, and had my suppression check as well. The suppression check consisted of some bloodwork and ultrasound to make sure my ovaries are suppressed and not growing any follicles. They then called me later in the morning with the rest of my steps. I started Menopur and Gonal-f yesterday (Monday). So, I'll be doing these meds till Thursday, then have another check on my progress on Friday morning and next steps. I'm getting some more meds in tomorrow that I think will be included next week.

Menopur and Gonal-f have hormones that help stimulate my ovaries to start growing my follicles. They have lutenizing hormone and FSH (follicle stimulating hormone). So, hopefully I'll get a bunch of eggs growing in my ovaries in the next week!

I have to say that the Menopur shot has been the most challenging since its a lot of liquid, and has to be slowly injected, so it burns. I got this ice pack on amazon, He's very helpful...
