Happy weekend everyone! I know a lot of people in the infertility community are already tight with their own funds with the expensive treatments. I am just trying my best to get the word out for a very good friend of mine who is in dire need of help. My dearest friend Luanda is in a very desperate situation currently. Her father has been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of malignant cancer. Upon finding out about the diagnosis, Luanda and her mother took an unpaid leave of absence from work to bring her father to Turkey. They are orginially from Kosovo that has only been it's own independent country since 2008, so it's medical system is not up to treating this kind of cancer. Turkey is the only country in the region that can provide treatment for such diseases. It has now been almost three months and the costs of treatment have surpassed 60,000 Euros. Luanda’s father’s care has consisted of radical surgery, several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. There have been some complications that have required further hospitalization which has added to the total. Along with the challenges of understanding just the medical component of this entire situation, they must also deal with having a language barrier. Luanda and her family has already gone through living in a war torn country, which has involved losing family members, and having their home destroyed. So, after rebuilding, they have been thrown this very challenging curve ball, and currently are drained both emotionally and financially. Luanda has spent so much of her passion and time working for human rights and helping others. She and her family are very much in the need of a miracle and help getting through this very challenging time. Please consider contributing whatever you can afford, and as soon as possible. The hospitals there operate differently and expect full payment immediately and are not very cooperative with smaller payment plans. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and to consider donating to help us raise as much as we can in as short a time as possible. https://www.youcaring.com/fatmir-domi-514942
