Initial Fertilization Numbers

Lucky number 7!! Out of the 16 eggs they retrieved 7 have fertilized. As we speak our embybabies are growing in a dish of some sort. I think of it as babies first trip away from the parents. I thought of that yesterday even after we got home, that our babies were on an extended stay away from home. Tonight I got a bit watery eyed thinking about how this is the first time I've felt like having kids is possible, that something is happening. My eggs and his sperm are growing together right now! We've been trying for 5 years now, and nothing was happening, nothing! To hear that there is something manifesting right now is incredible. I'm trying not to get attached to the number 7, cuz I know that some might not make it, which breaks my heart if I over think it.
Science is incredible that this is possible! To be able to go into my complicated body and pull out all those eggs is incredible, and that they can get them to grow outside of your body! For the scientist looking into the microscope at the incredible cell division, and be able to test it, amazing! I wish I could look inside the microscope before they put the embryo back inside of me. I love looking at cells!

In other news, today is my DH's (dear husband) birthday! He turned 32 today. We've celebrated 13 birthdays since we met, and hopefully we'll be adding an addition to our family before we turn 33!!
We also managed to get about 5 inches of snow, which was crazy since it's April, and our poor daffodils are trying to grow! Belated April Fool's joke pulled by mother nature.
Best,
Natasha
